Ripples in the Puddle – Adventures of a Fleet Street Photographer
From the bustling newspaper offices of Fleet Street to the glamorous world of advertising photography, Ripples in the Puddle is an entertaining and revealing account of a remarkable career behind the camera.
Ronnie Westrip began his photographic journey as a young boy with a simple camera and a fascination for capturing the world around him. In 1967, he joined Fox Photos in London, beginning an adventure that would take him from newspaper assignments and celebrity encounters to building a successful commercial photography business.
Along the way came famous faces, unexpected opportunities, colourful characters, changing technology and more than a few amusing mishaps.
Written in an engaging, conversational style, this autobiography offers a fascinating glimpse into the changing world of photography, business and everyday life from the 1960s onwards.
More than a photographic history, it is a personal story of ambition, determination, friendship and the extraordinary experiences that can grow from an ordinary beginning.
